'Kulafumbi' is our family home in Kenya, East Africa, situated on the confluence of the Athi and Mtito Rivers. The property borders the Tsavo National Park - with no fences between us and the Park, the wildlife comes and goes of its own free will and treats our land as its own. We discovered this buffalo carcass lying in the river on October 21st. By midday on the 22nd, the crocodiles had overcome their customary caution, and were circling...The birds were attracted too, the Yellow Billed Storks which were more interested in catching fish which were attracted to the carcass, and the Marabou Storks which will scavenge on anything - opportunists of the highest order.
